Crispy, crunchy, scrumptious munchies, OMG, give us a bunch of these.. American Diner inspired rings!

They are incredibly easy to make and are a hit with every age group! I really wanted to have that diner experience at home and wanted them really big and hearty, so that’s exactly what I did. If good onion rings are available I pounce on them so it was only natural that I’d eventually find a technique that I like. I promise you won’t regret it..I mean..do you SEE that photograph??? Worth the effort. Next time it will have to be Coconut Onion Rings!

Ingredients:

1. Slice onions as thick as you want them. We super sized them; American diner style.

2. Get three plates. One for your SEASONED egg wash, one for your SEASONED flour and one for your Panko or any bread crumbs of your liking.

3. Dip onion into egg wash, then flour, then back into the egg wash and then into the bread crumbs.

4. Gently place into medium temperature oil and fry without disturbing it until it is ready to be flipped. Once golden brown on both sides you are ready to go.

We paired with three different dipping sauces: Honey Mustard, Chipotle and BBQ.

Enjoy!
